Modular Bipolar and Hip Replacement System

Dyna International’s Modular Bipolar and Hip Replacement System is a type of orthopedic implant system used in hip replacement surgeries. It consists of modular components for both the acetabulum (hip socket) and the femur (thigh bone) to address various anatomical considerations and patient needs.

The “modular” aspect means that the components of the system can be mixed and matched during surgery to better fit the patient’s unique anatomy. This customization allows surgeons to choose from a range of sizes and configurations for both the acetabular cup and the femoral stem, enhancing stability and optimizing the biomechanics of the hip joint.

The term “bipolar” refers to the design of the acetabular component, which includes an inner articulating component that moves independently within an outer shell. This design can help reduce the risk of dislocation by allowing the prosthetic femoral head to move within the acetabulum, providing increased stability.
